Summary / Abstract :

The embarrassing tension between the Cambodian Head of State, Prince Norodom Sihanouk, and the communist revolutionaries who now dominate his former Kingdom, appear to have been temporarily relieved. A mission from Phnom Penh, led by Vice-Premier Khieu Samphan, generally recognised as the dominant figure in the Khmer Rouge leadership, finally the piligrimage to the North Korean capital of Pyongyang where Sihanouk began a secluded "holiday" on May 19.
