March 23: Samdeach Head of State Norodom Sihanouk issued a stetement sternly condemining the coup d'état staged by Lon Nol and Sirik Matak, announcing the dissolution of the Lon Nol government and the two Houses of parliament and the proposed etablishment of the Royal Government of National Union, the People's National Liberation Armed Forces and the National United Front of Kampuchea.
