As Cambodia went into its final, bloody convulsion in the middle of April this year, the country's titular Head of State, Prince Norodom Sihanouk, became increasingly nervous. Close aides saw a dramatic change in the man they had followed to exile in Peking after he had been overthrown in 1970. Even after the Cambodian Capital, Phnom Penh, fell to the Khmer Rouge on April 17, the Pricne's anxiety did not disappear as he waited to return to his homeland.
