Summary / Abstract :

In October, the Americans made great exertions to consolidate the tottering position of the Lon Nol-Siri Matak clique. US aircraft flew many support sorties a day for the Lon Nol Troops and violently bombarde the liberated zones. The enemy carried out many clearing operations around Phnom Penh along trunk comunication lines. In the last ten days, 6,000 Saigon troops mouted to attack against Memot and Snoul areas, repectively 138km and 170km Eest-Northeast of Phnom Penh.
