Phnom Penh March 26 (AP). Government force advanced from two sides today on Oudong, the historic town 23 miles north of Phnom Penh captured by Khmer Rouge insurgents on March 18. The government command said it forces north of the town, after, after a week of little progress, drove through a series of insurgent strongholds about a mile from Oudong. More reinforcements were being shipped up the Tonle Sap River to land east of Oudong.
