Cambodia: People's national liberation forces' sustained activity: AKI reported on August 25, 1972 that, in the current rainy season, the Khmer People's National Liberation Armed Forces(KNPLAF) and people have been increasantly active on all fronts. In northern Cambodia, they continually attacked the enemy on Highway, chopping it up and blocking road traffic to Kampomg Cham an isolating totally the town. Kampong Thom town was also beseiged and entirely isplated. Phnom Penh troops engaged in operation "Angkor Chey" were driven out of Mount Ba Kheng and to withdraw in confusion to Siem Reap town which was also encireled on all sicks. The section of Highway No 6 linking Siem Reap and Battambong was also scaled off. P6
