So tar there has not been any indication that the US administration wants meanigful negotiations. It cantinues to dodge a response to the RSVN PRG proposals reiterated many times and again on last September 11, 1972. Clearly enough, the latest offer of the PRG was made in the context of the collapse of Vietnamisation "the most serious ever weakening and isolation of the Saigon regime, on the one hand, and of the winning posture of the South Vietnamese parties, the growing strength of their government and resistance forces and the continued consolidation and expansion of their liberated areas.
