Phnom Penh on water control (Expert) [As regards irrigation:] Our brothers everywhere have built an adequate number of water-supply problem. They still cannot fully supply water for planting all the year around. Their main task now is thus to build as many waterworks, new field embankments and ditches as possible. These new filed embankments measure 2m thick at the bottom, 1m wide at the top and 1m high. Now more and more of these embankments are replacing the old obsolete ones, The people have learn from past experience that large, straight and high field embankments retain water longer and preserve silt better.
