Proceeding from its serious attitide and goodwill for a peaceful settlement of the South Vietnam issue, and with concerence of the provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam; early this month, the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Vietnam hald private meeting with the US Government, and the two sides reached an "Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam" an the basis of the draft Agrrement proposed by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Both sides also agreed to set October 31, 1972 an the day for the signing of this Agreement. P1
