"A sharp worsening of the military situaton" of the Lon Nol puppet regime in Cambodia took place last week, reported the Washington Post. The liberation armed force of the national united front reportly entered Kampot April 4 and are believed to have liberated the seacoast town after hand-to-hand combat. Six U.S adviser inside Kampot-who have been involved in military actions there in defiance of congress-field the town and at least 19 Lon Nol military position in the outskirts of the city were destroyed, according to reports. At the sametime, the liberation forces began and assualt on the provincial capital of Takao, 40 miles south of Phnom Penh, Takao, the Washington Post said, has been cut off from grund access for more than two years.
