According to the governor of Prachin Buri province, Direk Sotsathit, the general situation in the province is now normal, despite occasional clashes between Cambodian soldiers and the Thai authorities, which are attempting to stop Cambodians from trespassing on their territory. The 781 villagers from the three villages along the border area whose houses had been burned down by the Cambodian soldiers have been evacuated to a new plot of some 6,000 Rai in Aranyaprathet district about 7-10 Km from the Cambodian border. Some fireams and ammunition will be handed to borders villagers for self-defence.
