Summary / Abstract :
|
The recent development in Cambodia and Laos have given rise to greater and greater apprehension and misgivings. In Cambodia on April 15, 1973, the Saigon invaders, supported by armoured vehicles, from Hong Ngu and Tan Chau crossed the border but were repelled with heavy losses, on April 16, fresh contigents of Saigon troops were hurled together with war vessels into aperations along the frontiers. Meanwhile, the US air war in Cambodia has been raging for over 40 days, unabated. The American imperialists are contemplating dispatching to Combodia Thai mercenaries and even "leatherneeks" from Okinawa to the rescuse of the Phnom Penh regime(AP. April 19). P7
