Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1975 the Cambodian revolutionary organization turned its attention to inductrial development. It concerned a policy, with agriculture as its basis, for the advancement and development of industry. In this policy, priority has been given to the development of light industry to meet the people's needs, to meet the demands for increasing agricultural production and for saving the potential for gradual development of heavy industry. The government of Democratic Cambodia has also grouped small workshops, but has not only repaired a number of old factories but it has also build new factories, manufactured a number of new products for improvement of the old industrial infrastructure.
