"Right from the begining of their resistance against the US and its henchmen in Phnom Penh," the statement said, "The Khmer people, lowing freedom and treesuring their time-honoured culture, have been endeavouring to protect the Ankor Temple, and invaluable historical relic of their national. On the other hand, the US im6perialists, the Lon Nol Sirik Matak-Son Ngoc Thanh team of traitors on the Saigon administrations have been comitting innumerable crimes againts the Khmer people, and at the sametime seriously seiously desecrating and inficting severe domage on them. Both Khmer and world public opinion has strongly condimned the their crimes".
