Summary / Abstract :

Cambodia is a "pure form of the Nixon doctrine". It is an aggression with no US expeditionary forces, unlike in South Vietnam, but a war wagel according to the "native troops American weaponaty" formula. Now the "pure form" of this doctrines has led to the slaughters at Neak Luong because from that formaula, it logically eusues that the more the Lon Nol troops give proof of their infficiency the more intense is the fire from American aircraft to cope with the situatiion. A Phnom Penh paper has quoted the US Embassy as telling Lon Nol: "Step down if you can not get your job done!" In all faimess that is what should be said the Yenkees in Cambodia. P7
