The message from Chairman Hua to the Cambodian leaders was also broadcast in fully by Peking redio in its Cambodian service on 16th April. The NCNA (in English 18 April 1977) reported that "more than 10,000 people" had attended the mass meeting held in Phnom Penh on 15th April and gave a short summary of Khieu Samphan's speech.
