Cambodia Undone, Phnom Penh, Cambodia-War and corruption have disruption economy of Cambodia, causing rice shortage and food riots in a nation that until 1970 was an exporter of rice. The 1972 rice harvest was the worst in recent years, as farmers abandoned contested areas and much of the nation's crop lands fell under Communist control.
