Almost all the watches sold in Cambodia are illegally imported. Prince in Cambodian currency have risen astronomically: A watch that cost Riels 2,500 before the war now retails at over Riels 80,000 of course, in hard currency the two prices are roughly equivilent to US$ 40. Salaries have also gone up, but they have not kept pace with the cost of living.
