Chea Saroeun, 20, deputy chief of military unit, Company 41, Battalion 173, was born in Khla Ap Village, Sanha Sa Sub-district, Preah Sdech District, Prey Veng Province. In 1970, Saroeun joined the revolution in district cell. In 1971, Phan and Phuon withdrew Saroeun and sent him to Battalion 173 where he served as a messenger. Between 1972 and 1974, Phan and Suon transferred Saroeun to cell 41 and then to portable radio carrier of Regiment 173. They also indoctrinated Saroeun to serve the activities of the Free Khmer by intruding into unit 173 to induce soldiers to demolish portable radio and to flee home and to counter the revolution. In 1975, Phan and Phuon assigned Saroeun to infiltrate into unit 502 to conduct anti-revolutionary activities and prepare for July 1976 plots to destroy important materials located in Pochentong.
ឈ្មោះជា សារឿន អាយុ ២០ ឆ្នាំ អនុយោធាកងអនុសេនាធំ ៤១ វរសេនាតូច ១៧៣ កើតនៅភូមិខ្លាអប ឃុំសញ្ញាសា ស្រុកព្រះសេ្ដច ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។ ១៩៧០ សារឿនចូលបដិវត្ដនៅកងស្រុក។ ១៩៧១ ផាននិងភួនដកសារឿនយកមកនៅជាមួយក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច ១៧៣ ធ្វើជានីរសា។ ១៩៧២-១៩៧៤ ផាននិងសួនដក សារឿនទៅកង៤១ បន្ទាប់មកឱ្យទៅកាន់តេអូរវរសេនាធំ ១៧៣ ហើយបានអប់រំណែនាំសារឿនឱ្យបំរើសកម្មភាពខ្មែរសេរីបង្កប់ក្នុង កង១៧៣ ដើម្បីចលនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យបំផ្លាញតេអូរ ឱ្យរត់ទៅផ្ទះ ឱ្យយុទ្ធជនប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដ។ ១៩៧៥ ផាននិងភួនបានចាត់តាំងសារឿន ឱ្យបង្កប់ក្នុងកង៥០២ធ្វើសកម្មភាព បង្កកម្លាំងឱ្យប្រឆាំងបដិវត ្ដនិងត្រៀមចាំផែនការខែ៧-១៩៧៦កំទេច សម្ភារៈសំខាន់ៗដែលមាន នៅក្នុងពោធិ៍ចិនតុង។
