The optimistic outlook for the coming liberation of the Cambodian people expressed in Lak Tan's July 1972 Broadsheet article has been fully vindicated in the ensuing year. As Malcolm Caldwell say on his review of 'My war with the C.I.A' by Norodom Sihanouk and R.W.Burchett (Broadsheet, July 1973), U.S. Imperialism has been totally unable to bolster up its proteges.
