Despite U.S. air raids, the People's Armed Forces of National Liberation of Cambodia lauched powerful offensives this year on highways 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, along the Mekong River and in the areas surrounding Phnom Penh. More than 42,000 enemy troops ware wriped out in the first quarter of the year.
