Les républicains Cambodgiens mettent en oeuvre d'importants moyens pour empêcher l'aspyxie de Phnom Penh. La battaile pour le contrôle du Mekong se poursuit, notamment a' la hauteur de Neak Luong, base stratégique située à 60 kilomètres en aval de Phnom Penh. Les pertes paraissent être lourdes deux côtés.
