Summary / Abstract :
|
Phnom Penh airport, the city's only remaining transport link with the outside world, was closed for serveral hours to-day in dramatic circumstances. Khmer insurgent gunners, who have been bombarding the airport with a heavy barrage of 107 military rockets and 105 artillery shells daily for the past three weeks, this morning hit an ammunition depot close to the airport's civilian terminal.
