Neak Luong the government's last remaining base on the Mekong, is reported to be under heavy attack. The town, in which there are now about five thousand soldiers and more than thirty thousand civilains, is about 35 miles south of Phnom Penh, with a stretch of Khmer Rouge territory in between.
