Cambodia is still hermetically sealed to all but its most stalwart revolutionary supporters. But the country's mysterious leaders have revealed more about themselves and their regime in the past fortnight than over the preceding two and a half years. on September 27th, just a year after he retired from view, officially because of ill-Pol Pot, turned up to give a five-hour speech at a mass rally in Phnom Penh and was indentified as secretary-general of Cambodia's newly unveiled communist party.
