Accrochée aux berges du Mékong, la guinguette, aux parapets vermoulus, distille une musique Thai acidulée. En contrebas, fumant et écumant, la grand fleuve rouge charrie son cortège d'arbres morts. Un sampan, au loin, s'évanouit dans une brume couleur d'orage. En face, écrasé sous le nuages gonflés de mousson, un rivage flou: le Laos.
