The Cambodian had shown no sign by the end of last week of bringing in reinforcements to stem the Vietnamese invasion of the parrot's beak area of their country. They were out-gunned, outnumbered and had taken murderous casualties but they were making the Vietnamese bleed every inch of their way in so much so, that Hanoi had halted its troops temporarily.
