Khim Chey joined the revolution in 1972, region 25. In 1973, Chey fled into home in district 18, company 62, battalion 116, Special zone. In 1974, he fled again to his house and stayed there for 6 months. In 1975, Chey escaped into enemy's area in Koh Thom sub-district. At that time, Chey was arrested. In the conclusion of Chey's biography clarified that Chey was sent to imprison for instantly time.
ឈ្មោះ ឃឹម ជៃ បានចូលបដិវត្ដនៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧២ នៅកងតំបន់ ២៥។ បន្ទាប់មករត់មកផ្ទះ ៣ខែ នៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៣ ចូលកងស្រុក ១៨ របស់ កាត ភូមិភាគពិសេស អនុសេនាធំ ៦២ វរសេនាតូច ១១៦ ដល់ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៤ រត់មកផ្ទះ ៦ ខែ។ ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥ ឃឹម ជៃ បានប្រមូលមកឃុំកោះធំ ហើយបានរត់ចូលខ្មាំង តែប្រជាជន ចាប់បាន។ នៅកុ្នងសេចក្ដីសន្និដ្ឋានបានសរសេរថា យោលតាម ប្រវត្ដិរបស់ ឃឹម ជៃ ត្រូវដាក់គុកមួយរយៈសិន។
