Cambodian gunners pounded Aranyprathet with long-range Chinese rockets on 1st April in the first attack of its kind since frontier fighting broke out about two years ago. The Khmer Rouge also let losse a mortar barrage against four villages closer to the frontier causing damage to serveral houses and property.
