"The attack was most violent," the Foreign Minister, visibly upset, commented. Following the attacks governer of Prachinburi Mr. Direk Sotisathit immediately ordered the border closed. Officials described the attack as the most outrageous since the communists came to power in Phnom Penh in March 1975.
