Thailand has sealed its border with Cambodia and will use "drastic measures" to repel future Cambodian raids across the border like the weekend killing of 30 Thai civilians, Deputy Prime Minister Boonchai Bomroongphong said today. Officials said that 8 men, 11 women and 11 children were killed Friday and Saturday when 200 Cambodians raided four Thai villages in the border region about 140 miles east of Bangkok. Survivor said the Cambodians slashed the throats of some children and stabbed others.
