A state of confrontation has existed between Vietnamese and Cambodian force since about May 1975. Refugees who crossed into Vietnam in mid 75 told of damage caused to at least one communist Vietnamese border post by a Khmer Rouge rocket attack, alleged by the Vietnamese to have been unprovoked.
