Summary / Abstract :
|
During the years the communist movements of Indochina were fighting French and then American tropps few observers paid much attention to their individual characteristics. The Vietnamese, led by the charismatic Ho Chi Minh, were propelled into the international limelight as they devastated the French forces at Dienbienphu and later gained the sympathy of the U.S public. Despite the ballyhood American invasion of Cambodia, the Cambodian and Lao comrades remained shadowy figures at best.
