Democratic Kampuchea in late May frustrated one again a coup d'etat fomented by the political bureau of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Ieng Sary at a press conference in Phnom Penh on June 24.
