Khmer Rouge troops are still able to launch telling counter-attacks against Vietnamese-backed forces of the new Cambodian Government. But they are suffering high casualties, and some units appear ready to fight to the last man in desperate Kamikaze-style attempts to recapture strategie strong points, according to intelligence sources in Bangkok.
