Bangkok, April 16-Heavy fighting erupted today between Vietnamese-led forces and the Khmer Rouge Army of the ousted Pol Pot Government in northwest Cambodia, Thai officials said. They said that small groups of Cambodians were fleeing into Thailand but that 40,000 to 50,000 others were still penned into a small salient of Cambodian territory south of the town of Poipet.
