In the mounting confrontation with Vietnam and Kampuchea, Thailand can draw little comfort from the composition of the pro-Hanoi Government in Phnom Penh. All eight Ministers of the People's Republic of Kampuchea are former guerrilla fighters; all gained extensive battle experience in the Khmer Rouge jungle force that fought American fire power and the right-wing republican regime from 1970 to 1975.
