Summary / Abstract :
|
Vietnam Struck with lightning speed and deadly efficiency. In just 14 days, the Pol Pot regime was forced to abandon Phnom Penh and most of Kampuchea's main cities and strategic bases, retreating before an invasion force estimated to include 20,000 Vietnamese-trained Kampuchean irregular and 100,000 heavily armed, mobile Vietnamese troops advancing under strong air support.
