Prince Norodom Sihanouk, currently in Peking, has been criticizing China more and more firmly for giving its support to the Khmer Rouge. In a telegram sent from the Chinese capital to the Japanese newspaper 'Sankie Shimbun' a copy of which he passed on to AFP, the former Cambodian chief of state: «Those who aid or support or approve of the Khmer Rouge who are continuing the genocide of the Khmer people under the pretext of the liberation struggle against the Vietnamese colonialists take on a very grave responsibility before humanity»
