Your comment on the situation in Kampuchea [Review, Oct. 5] is very exact, reasonable and justified. The blood-stained, fugitive regime of Pol Pot won the Kampuchea seat at the UN General Assembly not only on narrow, legalistic grounds, but because the vote reflected Southeast Asian anxieties that Moscow-backed Vietnamese expansionism should not be legitimised by global recognition of the Heng Samrin regime.
