Summary / Abstract :
|
Phnom Penh (NYT)--When Lon Nol was president of Cambodia, lightening one might struck the top of a shrine on a mound from which the city takes its name and split its pointed spire. People took it as a grave omen for the outcome of the war, which Lon Nol was fighting with U.S support.
