This is an edited extract from a letter last month by Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, former head of state of Cambodia, to Ms. Estelle Holt, a former correspondent in Southeast Asia. The western power have much compassion for the Khmer people. I fully appreciate their generosity in sending significant ait to my compatriotd dying from desease and hunger.
