|
The plight of the Khmer daily grows more desperate. While governments sit across conference tables to ponder their strategies, a nation faces death by starvation. A United Nations resolution calling on the Vietnamese to withdraw troops from Kampuchea has angered Hanoi, though it appears to have acheived little else. But in what could prove a turning point in the Indochina conflict, Thailand has announced an open-door policy toward Kampuchea refugees. The promise is of food on the dinner table.
