Bangkok--There is no good news from Cambodia. A decade ago it was--by Indochinese standards--a bucolic land of seven million Khmers, producing food surpluses under the erractic direction of an erractic prince, Norodom Sihanouk, who managed to be both strongly francophile and strongly nationalist. Grave problems lurked behind this proposal facade but Cambodia remained a relatively tranquill place to live or visit.
