Summary / Abstract :
|
Our Ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Pracha Gunakasem, hit the nail on the head when he reffered in the United Nations Security Council to the Indochina conflicts as "two burning houses in the neighbourhood." The neighbours, specifically the ASEAN countries, would like to have the fires put out so that the would not spread to "our houses." So Thailand acting on behalf of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and itself presented a draft resolution to the Security Council with the intention of extinguishing the fires.
