Summary / Abstract :

On October 13, 1980 the United Nations 35th General Assembly, with an overwhelming majority, 74 members voting for and 35 against, again declared itself in favour of the maintenance of the seat of Democratic Kampuchea, thus confirming the latter's rights as the only legal and legitimate representative of Kampuchea. In comparison with last year's voting, the number of votes in favour of Democratic Kampuchea has increased from 71 to 74.
