Summary / Abstract :
Vietnamese Foreign Minister Nguyen Co Thach has told the Review that a withdrawal of Asean support for Pol Pot will not automatically lead to a total pull out of Vietnamese forces from Kampuchea. However, the Vietnamese presence in Kampuchea could be reduced if Asean, together with the West made a break with the Chinese policy of opposing on Indochina dominated by the Hanoi Government.
