Summary / Abstract :

Although a Soviet-support, Vietnamese-directed regime now holds power in Cambodia, the so-called Pol Pot Government has not admitted defeat. The remuants of its Khmer Rouge force are continuing their guerrilla war against the current rulers, and it is still recognized by the United Nations as the legal Government of Cambodia. Last week , Thiounn prasith, Cambodia's ambasador to the United Nation, spoke with Newsweek's Joyce Barnathan.
