The Soviet Union Friday night challenged the right of Cambodia's ousted Khmer Rouge regime to retain Phnom Penh's seat in the U.N General Assembly, speaking on behalf of east European members as the General Assembly prepared to accept the report of its Credentials committee, Soviet representative Oleg Troyanovsky said the seat occupied by the Democratic Kampuchea Delegation should go to the Vietnamese-Backed Heng Samrin regime now in power in Cambodia.
សហភាពសូវៀតនៅយប់ថ្ងៃសុក្រ បានប្រឆាំងនឹងសិទ្ធនៃការបណេ្ដញខ្មែរ ក្រហមចេញពីប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីរក្សាអាសនៈ នៅភ្នំពេញ នៅក្នុងមហា សន្និបាតអង្គការសហប្រជាតិ។ ថ្លែងក្នុងនាមជាសមាជិកអឺរ៉ុបខាងកើតជា មហាសន្និបាតត្រៀមខ្លួនដើម្បីទទួលយកការណ៍នៃគណៈកម្មាធិការសារតាំង របស់ខ្លួនលោក អូ ឡេង ត្រូយ៉ានូវស្គី អ្នកតំណាងសូវៀត បាននិយាយ ការកាន់កាប់អាសនៈដោយគណៈប្រតិភូកម្ពុជាប្រជាធិបតេយ្យគួរតែទៅរបប ហេង សំរិន ដែលគាំទ្រដោយវៀតណាមហើយឥឡូវនេះនៅក្នុងអំណាច កម្ពុជា។
