Hochi Minh city - Vietnamese monks who helped to overthrow three pro-U.S Governments through protest and self-immolation now accuse the Communist Regime of smothering Buddhism. "Before, you could spread Buddhism freely," said a senior monk who led anti-war demonstrations less than a decade ago. "Now it is better to keep silent."
ក្រុងហូជីមិញ សង្ឃវៀតណាមដែលបានជួយរំលំរដ្ឋាភបាលដែលគាំទ្រដោយសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក តាមរយៈការតវ៉ា និងការដុតខ្លួន ហើយឥឡូវនេះបានចោទប្រកាន់របបកុម្មនិស្ដ។ «ពីមុន អ្នកអាចរាលដាល ពុទ្ធសាសនាដោយសេរី»។ និិយាយដោយមន្ដ្រីសង្ឃជាន់ផ្ដល់ខ្ពស់ដែលដឹកនាំបាតុកម្មដែលប្រឆាំងនឹង សង្គ្រាមបានយ៉ាងតិចជាងមួយទស្សវត្សកន្លងមក។ «ឥឡូវនេះវាគឺល្អប្រសើរដើម្ឃីរក្សាភាពស្ងប់ស្ងាត់»។
